Mark 4:19 nkjv
"...and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things entering in to choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful."
This is Jesus explaining the parable of the sower of the seed, the "seed" being the word of God. The primary strategy of the enemy is "distraction". If demons can distract you from Biblical living with worldly desires, beyond your desire for intimate relationship with God, then you will not bear Godly fruit (Matt. 7:18).
