Today's Scripture:
Matt. 13:55-56 nkjv
"Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us?"
There is a large denomination that believes that the mother of Jesus was a "perpetual virgin". This seems to indicate something very different. These were half-brothers and half-sisters of Jesus, the same mother but a different father (Joseph). Under the inspiration of Holy Spirit, two of His half-brothers wrote books in the New Testament, James and Jude (Judas). (2 Tim. 3:16)
